Custom Control Panels by Orenco Controls
Our manufacturing facility provides affordable solutions for one-off, built to spec, and brand-labeled custom control panels for almost all applications in our UL 508A / UL698A shop.
Among the many applications we serve are industrial systems, OEM equipment, oil/gas/mining operations, solar energy projects, and water and wastewater treatment facilities. What defines our work, however, is customization. All of our custom control panels are made for a specific purpose, assembled only by highly experienced technicians who use first-rate components and verified test procedures.
Custom Control Panels Built to Specification
Our custom panels are built to spec or process application, customer choice. In other words, if a customer has a spec, we will meet that. If on the other hand a customer has a process desire but no spec, we can create custom control panels based on their process description. We are equally adept at either. We provide design engineering support and we will offer value engineering based on our controls experience to maximize function and/or efficiency, and minimize cost. We offer an online “quote request” portal to maintain effective communications or expectations and make sure we are all on the same page. This portal also provides for edits and updates and maintains a history of such.
Benefits of Our Custom Control Panels
The value of our custom control panels comes from how they perform once they reach the field. They are dependable in service and straightforward to work with, and they perform the same years later as they did on day one. Customers see shorter lead times and fewer field changes because every panel is fully tested before shipment.
The advantages our customers report most often include:
- Panels are fully tested, verified, and certified before leaving the shop, with complete documentation.
- Consolidated design and production shorten approval and delivery time.
- Long-term supplier relationships ensure stable pricing.
- Load testing confirms real-world operation across all voltages and phases.
Quality Standards and Certification
All custom control panels are designed and assembled in our UL 508A / UL 698A certified shop as to ensure compliance with national safety standards for both general-purpose and hazardous-location use. Our factory uses wire-prep machines, calibrated assembly tools, engraving and marking equipment, and full load testing at all voltages and phases.
Documentation packages accompany every build; these include wiring schematics, full component lists, and certification records to provide traceability from build-to-install.
Custom Control Panels – FAQs
Custom control panels are designed for a specific process or site rather than built from a standard template. Each one is configured to meet a customer’s specifications or process requirements and may include distinct layouts, component choices, labeling, or control logic.
Yes. We regularly build custom control panels from customer-supplied schematics, blueprints, or control documentation. Our engineers can also collaborate on design adjustments to ensure manufacturability and compliance with UL standards.
We typically need the electrical specifications (voltage, phase, and current), control logic or sequence of operations, preferred components (if any), and environmental factors such as indoor/outdoor or hazardous location ratings. If a detailed specification is not available, a clear process description is sufficient.
Yes. Once a custom control panel design is approved, it can typically be repeated for additional facilities or equipment lines. We store design files and component records so that identical or modified versions can be produced in the future.
In many cases, yes. Our engineers can evaluate an existing design, replace outdated components, or retrofit enclosures to bring older custom control panels up to current standards.
